3 people sustained serious injuries following a grisly accident in the Korara area along Bomet -Narok highway on Sunday night.

According to Bomet East Sub-county police boss John Karani, the accident was a self-involving one, where a driver of a bus belonging to Simba Coach veered off the road and the bus rolled.

After the incident, the whereabouts of the driver hasn’t been known yet and the search is on.

“We are looking for the driver who vanished after the incident. He is not among the seriously injured, we don’t know where he is,” said Karani.

The bus was headed towards Narok general direction from Bomet. Three occupants who were seriously injured were rushed to Longisa County Referral hospital, with multiple body fractures.

An eyewitness said one of the tyres burst before the bus veered off the road.

The bus wreckage was towed to Longisa police station.
