A family in Koruruma village in Teso North, Busia County, is appealing to the government and well-wishers to help them bring home the remains of their daughter who died three months ago in Saudi Arabia.

James Epurati says his daughter went overseas to seek greener pastures to support the family.

Epurati says his daughter had stayed in the Middle-Eastern country for six years, until December 16, when they were told she was sick and bedridden.

Two days later, on December 18, she succumbed.

Through the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the family was asked to raise Ksh.450,000 to facilitate the transportation of their daughter’s body, which they say they cannot afford.

“I appeal to our MP, senator, Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and even President William Ruto to hear my cry. I am helpless, and my wish is to see my daughter’s body and give her a proper send-off,” Epurati said.
