Manchester United interim manager, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, has hailed three players following their 5-2 win over Leicester City in the Carabao Cup fourth round on Wednesday night.

Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes both scored twice, while Alejandro Garnacho also got on the scoresheet.

Van Nistelrooy, talking to Sky Sports, said: “I have to say we had some luck as well.

“I am so happy for Casemiro though and [Alejandro] Garnacho and Bruno [Fernandes].

“Five goals but the chances against West Ham and Fenerbahce, we created so much and couldn’t finish.”

United will now face Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter-final of the competition.
