Appearing before Lady Justice Margaret Muigai on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, Corporal Lawrence Kamau, a CCTV expert, took the court through the series of events that took place on the said night.

According to officer Kamau, at a building in Eastleigh section 4, at the time stamp reading October 21, 2024, between 7:48 pm and 7:50 pm, a lady dressed in black is seen entering the lift at 7:48 pm.

At 7:49 pm the same lady is seen crossing the road, exiting the building and entering a parked motor vehicle opposite the building she walked out from. She opens the co-driver door, and the car moves towards the right side of the camera.

On the same night, at 23:49:41 hours, the same car is captured by CCTV cameras while entering Total Energies Athi River, and an attendant approaches the vehicle on the left side at 23:50:15 and fuels the car.

“My lady, at 23:51:32 hours we can see the attendant returning to the other side of the petrol station, and we can see the vehicle leaving,” Officer Kamau told the court.

According to the CCTV footage presented to court, the car is then seen back at the previous building in Eastleigh at the time stamp 00:54 to 01:09 hours on October 22, 2024.

At 00:54 hours two ladies are captured leaving the building, and at 00:55 hours the two are seen having a conversation.

Later, at 00:58 hours, one of the ladies dressed in a blue garment approaches the grey car parked, leaving the other lady, stands there for some time and gets back to the lady she had left.

“My lady, as you can see at 01:00 hours the woman wearing the blue garment is captured walking to the parked vehicle for the second time, and the other lady wearing a hooded jumper is captured at 01:01 hours also joining the other lady, and they are seen having a conversation with the driver,” Officer Kamau submitted to court.

“My lady, we are able to see the two ladies at 01:03 hours entering the vehicle, and at 01:09 the vehicle starts moving,” Kamau adds.

The footage also reveals a chilling moment at Sixth Avenue Parklands, where the small car is parked on a road towards the apartments at 04:36:58 hours, and later the car is reversed, stepping on an object which Officer Kamau said was a human body.

“At 4:46:42 hours, my lady, we can see the lights of the said motor vehicle being put on, and the car is reserved, stepping on something on an object that looks like a human body,” Officer Kamau told the court.

“At the point the vehicle was reversing, there was someone on the ground,” the CCTV expert stated.

The court showed the vehicle stepping on the object the officer stated was a body twice before leaving at 4:47:18 hours.

The court asked the officer how he was sure that the object was a human body.

In his response, Officer Kamau said, “I am the one who went to retrieve the CCTV footage. I focused on this camera and when the crime scene was being documented. At the crime scene we found some blood spilt on the ground, and the body had been moved. That is why I am saying the object was a human body,” Corporal Kamau told the court.
