Paris Saint-Germain have defeated Arsenal 1-0 in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.

Ousmane Dembele scored the only goal of the game as the Ligue 1 champions pulled off an impressive win at the Emirates.

It was Dembele who began the attack before passing the ball to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Kvaratskhelia then set up the French winger to smash a first-time finish past David Raya.

Mikel Merino thought he had levelled the game immediately after the break after he headed in Declan Rice’s free-kick.

But the goal was ruled out by VAR for offside.

PSG, who could have scored at least three more goals, needed world-class saves from Gianluigi Donnarumma to deny Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard kept the Gunners at bay.

Mikel Arteta’s men now have it all to do in the second leg next week at the Parc des Princes.
