Chance The Rapper has released his first song of 2024. “I Will Be Your (Black Star Line Freestyle)” arrived on Sunday (January 28).

“Just some bars and a soul sample for your timeline,” Chance The Rapper tweeted. The Chicago native shared the entire “I Will Be Your (Black Star Line Freestyle)” record on his X account.

Chance also uploaded the 160-second track to his official YouTube channel. “I Will Be Your (Black Star Line Freestyle)” represents the Grammy winner’s first addition to his song catalog since 2022.

Last year saw Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa join forces to present the Black Star Line Festival in Accra, Ghana. The free event reportedly drew more than 50,000 people to see Erykah Badu, T-Pain and more acts.

“The Black Star Line Festival is more than just a celebration of Black culture and music, it’s a chance for the Diaspora to come together as a community and remind ourselves of the power that lies within us,” Chance stated.

Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa also teamed up for the 2022 collaboration “Wraith” with Smoko Ono. Additionally, Chance dropped “The Highs & the Lows” featuring Joey Bada$$ in 2022. The two wordsmiths performed the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
