She posted photos of a welcome sign that read “Welcome to Charlene’s Bridal Shower” alongside a caption expressing gratitude for the women who have walked life’s journey with her.

“Grateful that the amazing women I have done life with over the years chose to celebrate me in my new season,” she wrote.

“Christ as our solid foundation and rock, the Word to guide my next step, the laughter and joy of sisterhood and knowing I have their love and support as I start to do life with the one He kept for me. Thank you, my dadas, my girls,” she added.

The post, set to the tune of Bridget Blue’s Ngozi Kama Jua, quickly drew attention from followers.

Charlene has kept much of her personal life away from the public eye, but her relationship with Isaya Yunge became official news in August 2026.

The couple made their romance public before going a step further with a lavish traditional Kalenjin engagement ceremony, known as Koito, on August 8, 2026 at President Ruto’s Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, Narok County.

Ruto himself welcomed Yunge into the family during the event, praising the young entrepreneur’s determination to win his daughter’s heart.

Yunge is a Tanzanian technology entrepreneur from Mwanza, Tanzania. He is the founder and CEO of SomaApps Technologies, a platform that connects African students with scholarship opportunities.

He also founded KAYA, an AI-powered smart speaker built around African languages and data, and Somafit, a health-monitoring smartwatch aimed at the African market.

Despite a difficult upbringing that saw him spend part of his youth in foster homes and on the streets of Mwanza, Yunge carved out a respected name for himself in Africa’s technology industry.

His story of resilience clearly made an impression on President Ruto, who spoke warmly of him at the Koito ceremony.

With the bridal shower now in the books, all eyes are on what promises to be one of Kenya’s most anticipated weddings.
