Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo proved age truly is just a number when she squared off with her granddaughter Tawi in a spirited dance battle at her 60th birthday party on Monday, 2 November.
The lawmaker, known on Instagram as Millie Mabona, posted a video of the moment, showing the two facing each other and matching moves in what she playfully described as an intergenerational showdown.

“It was an intergenerational vibe with my nephew Nigel and my grandie Tawi, but the photographer decided to ignore my nephew. Sasa ni Gen X versus Gen Z. Nilijaribu yawa. Donge?” she wrote in her caption.
Millie was dressed to impress for the occasion, stepping out in a red floral dress, white knee-high boots and a matching red headband.
Tawi held her own in a pink crop top, an orange-pink floral mini skirt, white boots and a red headband of her own, giving the pair a coordinated, energetic look.
The video was filmed inside an elegant indoor venue with textured stone walls, tall green plants, warm ambient lighting and walls decorated with photo collages, a fitting backdrop for the milestone celebration.
In the clip, both women are visibly enjoying themselves, grinning as they move side by side in a lively, playful exchange.
Millie’s nephew Nigel was also part of the dancing but barely featured in the footage, something the MP herself acknowledged with good humour in her caption.
The post drew an enthusiastic response online, with fans praising the MP’s energy and spirit.
