Chelsea have made contact with Crystal Palace in an attempt to sign Michael Olise.

The French youth international of Nigerian descent is said to be open to the move.

Chelsea, who are in talks over the Aston Villa striker Jhon Durán, tried to sign Olise from Palace last summer but the deal didn’t go through. They have approached Palace again over a deal for Olise.

His current Palace deal runs until 2027 after he signed a new four-year contract last summer although he has a release clause thought to be in the region of £60m.

The 22-year-old, who joined Palace in 2021 from Reading has scored 16 goals and produced 25 assists in all competitions.

He also has interest from Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle.
