Kenyan club host and content creator Ciggie Johnson found himself at the centre of a storm after going public with a DNA result that excluded him as the biological father of a child he had raised and supported for 12 years.
The revelation first surfaced on Saturday, 3 October, when Ciggie posted an emotional video on Instagram confronting the child’s mother directly about the unexpected outcome.
The story took another dramatic turn when he appeared on the Obinna Show, hosted by influencer and comedian Oga Obinna, and called his baby mama live during the segment.
Baby mama insists results were doctored
From the moment the call connected, tensions ran high. The mother flatly refused to accept the DNA findings, insisting that Ciggie had somehow manipulated them.
She argued that because he was the one who arranged the test, the results could not be trusted and pushed for the process to be repeated at a government-approved facility.
Ciggie pushed back firmly, pointing out that she had initially raised no objections when he proposed the DNA test, because she was confident he would be confirmed as the father.
He also questioned why, if he is not the biological father, his surname appears on the child’s school report cards.
The conversation grew more tangled when the birth certificate came up. The mother maintained that the original document bears only her name and not Ciggie’s, yet he claimed to have a birth certificate that carries his name. She denied ever giving him such a document, and neither side could explain the discrepancy.
A KSh 100,000 wager on a second test
Obinna steered the conversation towards a potential resolution, and the two parties eventually reached a tentative agreement to redo the DNA test at a government facility.
Ciggie sweetened the stakes by offering the mother KSh 100,000 should the new results confirm him as the father, on the condition that she would pay an equal amount if the results again excluded him.
She did not immediately commit to matching the wager, prompting questions about whether she was truly confident in her position.
Throughout the call, the mother maintained that she would only sit down with her daughter to explain the situation after a second test produced a different outcome.
She said she would speak to the child “the same day the results come out” if they turned out negative again, but ruled out having that conversation based solely on the existing findings.
The child, described by both parents as a bright and well-mannered girl, is reportedly unaware of the entire saga and has not been exposed to the online discussion.

Ciggie Johnson went on Oga Obinna’s show and called his alleged baby mama live on air. The argument got heated fast. She claimed he bribed the hospital that ran the DNA test, which is why the results came back negative. After the back and forth, even Oga Obinna concluded she is crazy.
