The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has obtained a High Court order freezing two apartments purchased with money suspected of being stolen from the Vihiga County government by 13 individuals.

One apartment is valued at Ksh.14 million and is located at Nextgen Park on Mombasa Road, while the other is valued at Ksh.13.5 million and is located at Fourways Junction.

The properties were acquired separately, according to an EACC source.

The Vihiga County head of procurement and his two wives, one of whom is a county employee, are among the 13 suspects under investigation.

Others include the former Chief Officer and his wife, both county employees, as well as eight others.
