Embattled preacher of the New Life Church and Prayer Centre Ezekiel Odero, has yet again suffered a blow after the High Court dismissed his applications seeking, the re-opening of his Times TV station, and quashing of orders issued by Milimani court freezing his 28 bank accounts.

Mombasa High Court judge Olga Sewe dismissed the two applications filed by Pastor Ezekiel Odero on grounds that he had not exploited other administrative avenues.

“The two applications are hereby dismissed with no orders to costs since I’m not convinced that the petitioner warrants the orders sought. They lack merit, are misconceived and therefore untenable,” the judge ruled.

The judge noted that in a letter from the Communication Authority that had been filed before her court, Pastor Ezekiel had been invited for dialogue before the closure of his TV station however, there was no indication presented before the court showing that he had paid attention to the letter and its provisions before the closure.

Justice Sewe noted that her court would restrain herself from commenting on orders issued by the Milimani chief magistrates court since orders that were being sought by the petitioner (Ezekiel), ought to be challenged by a way of revision.

“The matter before Nairobi ought to have been placed before a Nairobi high court since there is a High court supervisory Jurisdiction of the chief magistrate court that would ensure fair administration of justice,” she ruled.
