Former Arsenal striker, Thierry Henry and former Manchester City defender Micah Richards have blasted Benfica’s Gianluca Prestianni after his alleged racial abuse against Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior.
Henry and Richards suggested that Prestianni was a “coward” after he allegedly racially abused Vinicius.
The incident happened during Real Madrid’s Champions League Round of 16 playoff first leg 1-0 win against Benfica on Tuesday.
Speaking to CBS Sports Golazo, Henry said, “Let’s see how big a man Prestianni is, tell us what you said, you must have said something because you can’t go and tell Mbappé after that ‘I didn’t say anything’, what do you mean you didn’t say anything? So you cover your nose because you have a cold?”
On his part, Richards, who was also on the panel, added: “He’s a coward.”
Meanwhile, UEFA has already opened an investigation into the matter.
