Comedian Eric Omondi has kicked off his walk from Nairobi to Mombasa to raise funds for the construction of Sisi Kwa Sisi Help and Rescue centre.
The walk began at Nairobi’s Nyayo Stadium on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, morning, with hundreds joining the philanthropist.
Omondi livestreamed the event across his social media platforms as he embarked on the journey that will see him cover 486 kilometres.

Hundreds could be seen walking alongside the comedian as he engaged them in a conversation while also urging those following his initiative to support by sending their contributions using the information provided.
Omondi walked briskly along Mombasa Road and had covered about five kilometres by 9 am, with the hope that he would end the day at Sultan Hamud.

It will take him four days, with the final destination being Mama Ngina Waterfront Park, where he is expected to arrive on February 14, 2026.
Dubbed the walk of love, Omondi announced his plans to take the daring journey on foot to raise funds for the construction of a help and rescue centre.
“On February 10, 2026, I will be walking from Nairobi’s Nyayo Stadium to Mama Ngina (Waterfront Park). I will be covering a distance of 486 kilometres. And remember this is a walk of love because we are doing this during Valentine’s,” Omondi explained in a video posted on his social media platforms on Monday, February 2, 2026.
Inside the rescue centre planned by Omondi
The facility will host a warehouse, two ambulances, a clinic and a free school upon completion, and will be a cornerstone of the comedian’s legacy of philanthropy that has impacted many lives over the years.
“I am walking to raise Funds to build the SISI KWA SISI HELP AND RESCUE CENTRE. The Rescue Centre will house. 1. A WAREHOUSE 2. TWO AMBULANCES 3. A CLINIC 4. A FREE SECONDARY SCHOOL.

“You can walk with me by sending whatever you can,” Omondi appealed while providing information through which contributions may be sent.
His appeal has since been supported by a number of well-wishers and corporates who have partnered with the comedian to achieve his mission.
He has also met a number of governors in the recent past and briefed them on his planned walk, securing their support.
