ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo will on Saturday lead the Kenyan delegation to participate in the GSMA Mobile World Congress Ministerial Programme 2024 in Barcelona, Spain.
Owalo together with Kenyan delegates will meet with the GSMA events team to cement Kenya’s bid to host the GSMA Mobile World Congress – Africa 2025.
The congress, in Barcelona, will kick on February 24 to 29.
In a press statement by Mulei Muia, director Department of Public Communications, Owalo will take part in a roundtable session on Closing the Connectivity Gap in Africa through Universal Service Fund Reforms.
CS Owalo will next week on Tuesday be the guest speaker during the Kenya National Dialogue, where he will launch Kenya’s digitalization study in collaboration with GSMA.
GSMA Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2024, the world’s largest and most influential connectivity forum, will bring together policymakers and industry leaders, as well as attract participants in the ICT ecosystem from all over the world.
The Congress will provide an opportunity to engage with like-minded ministers in the region and globally, towards fostering partnerships needed to drive growth and development of the ICT sector.
