Popular businesswoman Damaris Muriithi, popularly known as Dama wa Spares, has given her take on how people should embrace different aspects of life.

While rooting for social life, the digital content creator noted that life should extend beyond engagements at work, at the church or at home.

“Have a social life, do life, have a life, huwezi kuwa huna life ingine ispokuwa kazi, ofisi, kanisa na kwa nyumba,” Dama wa Spares wrote on Facebook on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

This loosely translates to: “You need to have a social life; it can’t be a cycle of work, office, church and home.”

Asserting that there are many things to explore while one is alive and appreciating that life is not eternal, Dama noted that exposure beyond these three spaces opens one to new possibilities and meeting new people.

“Have exposure, go to those hotels, go for those dinners, go for those coffee outs, go for those movie outs, go for those road trips, go to those swimming pools like others, go to gym exercises, go to those social places you have never be, go to those steam baths, go to those saunas, go cheer wine with others, go vibe with people,” she added.

Dama’s take on making money versus living life

Noting that life is too short, the social media personality urged people to be intentional in striking a healthy balance in their lives.

“Balance your life, life is not all about job, career, church, and home. Have a balance in your life. Don’t live a pattern of incomplete life,” she continued.

According to her, many people are preoccupied with trying to make money and forget the true essence of having a life.

“It’s not about money, it’s about having a life. Have a life, live a life, the dead are no longer living,” she added.

What Benjamin Zulu said on striking a balance & enjoying life

Her take mirrors that of renowned life coach Benjamin Zulu, who gave his insights on how to strike a balance and enjoy life while still attending to chores that require their attention on February 3, 2026.

Zulu opined that women were not born to spend their lives trapped between chores without a break, advising that doing so comes at a heavy price.

“Don’t clean your house every weekend. Don’t fill your Saturdays and Sundays with laundry.  Do not spend your life trapped between chores that never end. A woman’s life is more than housekeeping. You were never born to spend all your days between brooms, floors, and dishes that get dirty again tomorrow,” Zulu stated.
