The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) women’s volleyball team has appointed former General Service Unit liberal Jeremiah Mukopi as their head coach ahead of the new season starting next month. Mukopi takes over from Daniel Bor, who sadly passed away in April after a short illness.
In an interview with Citizen Digital, Mukopi expressed his enthusiasm for joining the DCI, saying, “I’m happy to join the DCI family. It is a new chapter for me to help the girls grow their talents and challenge for the titles. It will not be easy, but I’m ready for the challenge.”
Before his appointment, Mukopi served as an assistant coach at Equity Bank men’s volleyball club and has also coached at Tetu High School, Mautuma Secondary School, and Kwanthanze Secondary School. This marks Mukopi’s first experience coaching a female team after his previous roles at Kenya Ports Authority and with the bankers.
His primary goal is to transform DCI into a title contender in a league dominated by KCB and Kenya Pipeline.
