The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said on Thursday that Bakari Idi Rai, 19, and Daudi Munye Mandu, 18, were arrested after Kwale County officers, acting on intelligence, raided their homes in the Denyenye neighbourhood of Ng’ombeni.

The two are accused of belonging to the infamous Panga Boys gang, which has been connected to several attacks against civilians along the Likoni–Ukunda road and the Dongo Kundu bypass.

In a separate arrest, Joshua Ngala Hinzano, popularly known as “Goliath,” was captured at Tangini Village in Madamani, Ganze, in Kilifi County.

According to DCI, the suspect was allegedly involved in a triple murder incident in Malindi and was on the run.

The accused are being detained at Kwale Police Station as investigations are ongoing, pending arraignment.

DCI affirms that the multi-agency operation will continue throughout the Coast Region in an effort to improve public safety and tame criminal organizations.
