Atletico Madrid midfielder, Rodrigo de Paul is set to join Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.

De Paul and Messi are close friends and both international teammates with the Argentina national team.

However, according to football transfer expert, Inter Miami have now started talks with Atlético Madrid for the midfielder’s signature.

The Major League Soccer, MLS, wants to keep its ambitions high after the Club World Cup with champion De Paul as their main transfer target this summer.

Rodrigo, however, is said to be open to the move to Inter Miami with talks between both parties already underway.

The 31-year-old joined Atletico Madrid from Udinese in 2021.

Meanwhile, Inter Miami was recently eliminated from the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup.
