The authorities are investigating several tragic incidents across different regions in Kenya.
In Mwatate, Taita Taveta, detectives are probing the murder of Alfred Mwanyalo Mwandoe, whose body was discovered along the Mwatate-Taveta road, bearing multiple deep cuts to the forehead.
It appears that Mwandoe was killed on the main road and then his body was moved to the location where it was found. The motive behind the murder remains unknown as investigations continue.
In Muhoroni, Kisumu, Joseph Otieno was found dead on the Chemilili-Muhoroni railway line, allegedly the result of a fight over a suspected love triangle. The assailant reportedly used a panga to inflict fatal wounds to Otieno’s head. Efforts to apprehend the assailant are ongoing.
Meanwhile, in Katulani, Kitui, the body of Lucy Kambua Mwendwa, a 62-year-old woman, was discovered outside her property, indicating a murder. She had sustained two stab wounds to the back of her head, and a bloodstained panga, a water jug, a paper bag containing a broken egg, and a note were found at the scene.
Six suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder, and further investigations are underway to apprehend additional suspects. The body has been transferred to the mortuary for autopsy.
