Nairobi police have initiated a manhunt for a mysterious woman who left an unidentified man dying inside a hired taxi on Monday, July 31, 2023.

According to the taxi driver, the woman had hired the cab with the intention of travelling from Syokimau to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

However, before reaching their destination, the woman suddenly alighted from the vehicle, leaving the man behind. The taxi driver’s attempts to assist the man proved futile as he collapsed.

Inside the taxi, police discovered a bottle of soda, chips, and two mobile phones that the suspect had left behind.

The deceased man had no identification documents, making it challenging for officers to determine his identity. As a result, the police took his body to the city mortuary.

Nairobi County police boss, Adamson Bungei, confirmed that investigations had commenced to identify and locate the woman. Authorities hope that she can provide more information about the incident.

“Our officers are currently trying to locate the woman so as she can shed more light on the matter,” said Mr Bungei.

In another unfortunate incident, a mason named Daniel Mukira lost his life on Sunday in the Mowlem area of Dandora after being electrocuted while working on a four-story building.

Mr Mukira accidentally fell onto a high-voltage electric cable while plastering a wall on the rooftop. He was electrocuted by the cables and then thrown to the ground floor of the building.

“Daniel Mukira was rushed to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital where he was confirmed dead on arrival. He was then taken to the facility’s morgue,” the police said.

His body was taken to the hospital’s morgue, and the family was notified of the tragic incident.

On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, they went to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital morgue to identify the body.

Both cases remain under investigation, and authorities are working diligently to ascertain the identities of those involved and the circumstances surrounding each incident.
