DJ Michael Macharia, popularly known as DJ Brownskin, has shared a tribute on his Instagram stories in remembrance of his late wife, Sharon Njeri, who tragically passed away in July 2022.

The tribute comes amidst an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death, which has been shrouded in mystery and controversy.
According to a statement by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Macharia allegedly shared a video of his wife ingesting the fatal poison with his American-based girlfriend immediately after the tragic incident.
The DCI further disclosed that the woman, in turn, sent the video to a local blogger who leaked the video to the public sparking outrage.
The unsettling video, released online on April 1, nearly nine months after Njeri’s burial, depicts the harrowing moment when she ingested the poison.
As the distressing scene unfolded, DJ Brownskin watched as his wife emptied the poisonous cup, ultimately leading to her untimely death.
Njeri collapsed on the couch after ingesting the lethal liquid, mustering the last of her strength to reach out to her two children and giving the heartbreaking news of her approaching death.
On August 6, 2023, Njeri was laid to rest in her parents’ residence in Koimbe Weithaga village, Murang’a County.
