An urgent appeal has been shared on social media platforms for members of the public to help trace the family of Francis Kamau Chege, a resident of Guadalajara City, Mexico.
The appeal says Chege was involved in an explosion on Friday, November 24 and sustained extensive burns.
“His girlfriend said Francis is in a medically induced coma. She needs help to find any of his family members,” the appeal reads in part.His father’s name was given as John Chege Wainaina and his mother as Lucy Wairimu Kiare.
Chege’s last known origin is listed as Githunguri in Kiambu County. No further details were given.
Anyone with information that may lead to the identification of his parents has been requested to relay the same to the Kenyan Embassy in Washington DC in the US or contact one Debra Hernandez on +5255 722 9 3247.
