Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has cautioned Kenyans to be wary of Azimio Leader Raila Odinga’s antics after his election loss in August 2022.
While citing his recent actions to have nationwide protests to champion for key among other things the lowering of the high cost of living, Duale noted that Odinga was solely out looking for his own selfish interests.
“The plight of Kenyans is not in their mind even as they protest. They are only looking out for themselves,” Duale said.
Odinga is pushing the government to act on a raft of demands and opted to pursue the route of the protest after President William Ruto failed to address the issues.
Duale however stated that Odinga’s latest intimidation antics were part of his larger scheme to secure a sit-down with the President in the hope that he will agree to have a handshake with him.
“They know the crimes they have committed against the Kenyan people and now they are in panic,” he said.
The former Prime Minister has repeatedly denied allegations that he is seeking a working arrangement like the one he had with former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
