Former Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal has been dealt a blow after the High Court issued orders to seize his four prime properties in Karen that include his multimillion matrimonial home, over an ongoing graft case.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) stated that it intends to recover Ksh.80 million from the Lenolkulal, obtained as proceeds of corruption when he served as Samburu Governor.
Additionally, the EACC said that it has commenced the process to implement the judgement by the High Court and will recover the money with a 12 per cent interest.
In the graft case, Lenolkulal was accused of instigating trade between the Samburu County Government and Oryx Service Station, which he allegedly owns, by supplying fuel worth over Ksh.84 million.
He and his co-accused persons were charged with various corruption offences arising from the unlawful payment of the said amount to Oryx Service.
