Edday Nderitu has addressed claims that her friend Bernice Saroni is wrecking her marriage to Mugithi singer Samidoh.

Netizens were alerted by Edday’s post where she was seen posing with her Bernice and an unidentified male.

“Any man can be a father but it takes a real man to be a dad,” Edday captioned the post.

Many people interpreted Edday’s post as warming up to a new man in the US after being frustrated by Samdoh back at home.

Some critics blasted Edday saying she should do whatever she pleases without revealing her moves on social media.

“Umetuchosha sasa… Whatever move you want to take do it peacefully no one will stop you. Samidoh is not t..” Mary Martha commented on Edday’s post.

In a quick rejoinder, Edday told off Mary Martha saying she was not posting on her wall.

“Mary Martha nikipost kwa wall yako udelete,” Edday fired back.

Some netizens, however, warned Edday that her friend Bernice was wrecking her marriage to Samidoh.

“Najua mtasema ni wivu but am not here to praise Bernice yaani anataka Eddy aache Samidoh that is very wrong. Edday coka mucii ugarie guthondeka gwaku (rudi kwako ujaribu kutengeneza boma yako). You can’t leave Sami because of marrying two wives. It rains everywhere,” Kamau Mpesa told Edday.

In a quick rejoinder, Edday reminded Kamau about her earlier post where she talked about her stand on polygamy.

“Kamau Mpesa, do you remember that long post I made sometime back, only few understood what I meant,” Edday told Kamau.

In a long post on Facebook on February 23, 2023, Edday suggested that she would walk out of her marriage after Samidoh reunited with Karen Nyamu.

The mother of three stressed that she couldn’t raise her children in a polygamous setting.

“It has been exactly 15 years of marriage full of ups and down, it was humble beginning where little was enough for us, for the last 3years it has been nothing but pain, I have remained faithfull to you regardless of disrespect, humiliation and being trolled on social media ,you’ve made me look dumb and took my silence for granted, I have helped you nature your talent and supported you through it all, but one thing I have said to you and I am saying here again I will not raise my kids in a polygamy family, espeacilly with a woman who is older than me by more than 10yrs ,has no morals and zero respect to my family’kiura Kia ngaba’ as you put it,I have asked God every day to give me strength to pray for you but today I have nothing to tell God about you, you have drag and put me and my kids in an ocean of pain may you remember this day.#nothingbutprayers #eddaynderitu,” Edday wrote.

Fallout with Samidoh

Edday has indicated all is not well with Samidoh through her recent actions.

She recently slammed Samidoh after he was seen goofing around with Karen Nyamu at home in a video that went viral on social media.

Edday poked fun at Samidoh wondering out loud whether her husband had been married.

“Imgn Sammy alilala kwa nyamu… but may your wish be granted,” a netizen commented on Edday’s TikTok post.

To which she replied; “Ameolewa kwani?”

Edday also celebrated herself on Father’s Day.

Father’s Day is a holiday honouring one’s father, or relevant father figure, as well as fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society.

Edday snubbed Samidoh on Father’s Day and opted to celebrate herself instead.

“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7..HAPPY FATHERS DAY,” Edday captioned her photo.

  • Football history was made this weekend as Barcelona’s teenage sensation, Lamine Yamal, etched his name into the La Liga record books. At just 17 years old, the winger became the youngest player ever to successfully convert a penalty in the Spanish top flight. It was a landmark moment for the youngster, who continues to break barriers and set new standards with every appearance. However, the celebrations did not come without controversy. The decision to award Yamal the penalty has come under intense scrutiny, not just because of the challenge itself, but due to an extraordinary twist of fate: the VAR system at the stadium went offline. In a league where video technology has become crucial in determining key moments, this sudden failure meant the referee’s decision had to stand without any review. Fans across Spain were left divided. Some argued that the foul on Yamal was clear enough for the referee to point to the spot, while others believe the challenge was soft and would have been overturned had VAR been functional. The incident has sparked debates not only about the validity of the penalty but also about La Liga’s reliance on technology and what happens when that technology fails. In the post-match press conference, Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso was asked for his opinion on the penalty and the bizarre VAR malfunction. With a smile and a laugh, he dodged the controversy, replying: “Lamine Yamal’s penalty & VAR not working? I knew you were going to ask me that! No comments!” His lighthearted response did little to cool the flames of debate, as pundits and fans alike continued to argue the fairness of the decision. For Yamal, the moment was historic regardless of the surrounding controversy. To step up under such pressure, with the weight of expectation and the knowledge that he was writing history, was a testament to his composure and maturity beyond his years. Many young players might have crumbled, but Yamal thrived, tucking away the penalty with confidence and sending the crowd into raptures. Still, the question lingers: was it truly a penalty? Some former referees interviewed on Spanish television admitted that the contact was minimal, suggesting that VAR may well have overturned the call if the system had been available. Others, however, defended the referee’s decision, pointing out that attackers are entitled to protection in the box and that Yamal had every right to go down under the challenge. This episode adds yet another layer to the growing controversy around VAR in La Liga. Over the past seasons, fans have complained about inconsistencies, delays, and confusing explanations surrounding the technology. But rarely has there been a situation where the system simply went offline during a crucial decision. The league may now face pressure to investigate how such a failure occurred and whether backup systems should be implemented in the future. For Barcelona, the penalty and the subsequent goal will be remembered as a moment of triumph for their teenage prodigy. Yamal’s cool finish demonstrated why he is considered one of the brightest young stars in world football. Yet, the shadow of the VAR malfunction means his record-breaking moment will forever carry a trace of controversy. On the other side of the divide, rival fans—especially those from Real Madrid—have been quick to highlight the suspicious timing of the VAR collapse. Social media was flooded with accusations, memes, and conspiracy theories, further fueling the rivalry between Spain’s two giants. Whether fair or not, Yamal’s achievement has become yet another flashpoint in the eternal battle between the two clubs. What cannot be denied, however, is Yamal’s growing influence on Spanish football. To already be breaking records at 17 years old suggests that his career is only just beginning. The penalty may have sparked debate, but it also proved his ability to deliver in the spotlight. Over time, fans may forget the controversy and remember instead that this was the night the teenager made history. As the dust settles, one simple but loaded question remains: was it really a penalty? The answer depends on whom you ask. For Barcelona, it was justice. For their rivals, it was fortune. For Yamal, it was history. And for La Liga, it was a reminder that even in the age of technology, the beautiful game will always carry an element of human drama and controversy.
