Social media personality Emilliana Mwikali was left in tears after her iPhone 17 Pro Max was stolen in Hurlingham, Nairobi.
The influencer shared her ordeal on Instagram on Sunday night, January 3, 2026, revealing the frustration and emotional toll of losing her device.
“I can’t believe this happened again,” Mwikali said in one of her posts. “It’s so stressful losing a phone, especially one with so much of my work and personal stuff on it.”
Mwikali went to the local police station to report the theft, showing a police abstract form for documentation. She said the incident left her extremely upset, describing it as one of her worst days.

“I just kept thinking, how could this happen here? I was so careful,” she added. Attempts to track the phone through Apple’s Find My app were unsuccessful, as the device appeared offline.
This is not the first time Mwikali has had an iPhone stolen. She shared that previous incidents had already caused stress, making the latest theft even harder to handle. “I’ve lost phones before, but it never gets easier,” she said.
The influencer also displayed a casted arm in her stories, hinting at an injury that added to her distress. “On top of everything, I’m also dealing with this injury… It’s really overwhelming,” Mwikali admitted.

Sharing her experience with followers, Mwikali asked for help in locating the stolen phone. “Anyone who can help me track this phone will be of so much help,” she posted, urging fans to contact her if they had any leads.
She explained how difficult it was to cope with the loss while managing her daily routines and maintaining a presence on social media.
