Arsenal have now closed the gap between themselves and Liverpool, thanks to a 3-1 win over the Premier League leaders on Sunday.

The Gunners came into the game at the Emirates knowing that a negative result could see their title ambitions suffer.

Bukayo Saka gave the hosts an early lead, converting Kai Havertz’s rebounded shot.

However, a mix-up in Arsenal’s defence saw the ball go into via Gabriel Magalhaes’ arm.

In the second half, Gabriel Martinelli pounced on a blunder in Liverpool’s defence to put Arsenal in front again.

Ibrahima Konate was sent off for the visitors, before Leandro Trossard slammed in an emphatic third.
