EPL: Awoniyi up for Player of the Month award

Super Eagles forward, Taiwo Awoniyi has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month for August.

Awoniyi was recognised for his impressive displays for the Tricky Trees in the month.

The 26-year-old scored three goals in three league appearances for Nottingham Forest in the month.

The striker scored in the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal on the opening day of the season.

Awoniyi was also on target in the 2-1 home victory against Sheffield United and 3-2 defeat at Manchester United.

Jared Bowen, James Maddison, Rodri, Kaoru Mitoma and Bryan Mbeumo are the other players nominated for the award.
