EPL: Berbatov predicts Chelsea vs Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City fixtures

Former Manchester United striker, Dimitar Berbatov has predicted the opening fixtures of the 2023/2024 Premier League season.

Manchester City will kick off the defence of their title with a trip to Burnley on Friday night.

Last season’s runners-up Arsenal welcome Nottingham Forest on Saturday in the early kick-off

Sunday’s heavyweight clash between Chelsea and Liverpool at Stamford Bridge is the game every fan and pundit is looking forward to.

Berbatov, speaking with BetFair, previewed all 10 games in Match Day 1.

On the top matches, he said: “Burnley vs Manchester City. I predict the Premier League champions to bounce back and beat Burnley to start off the season. Prediction: 0-2.

“Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest. I’m backing Arsenal to beat Nottingham Forest. Prediction: 3-1.

“Chelsea vs Liverpool. Liverpool know they need to do better than last season, but I think Chelsea will be a surprise. Prediction: 2-1.

“Manchester United vs Wolves. I expect United to win this one. Prediction: 2-0.”
