Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has hailed Arsenal as the best team defensively in the Premier League.

Carragher was speaking after the Gunners played out a 1-1 draw with the Reds on Saturday.

Gabriel Magalhaes headed Mikel Arteta’s men in front as early as the fourth minute.

But Mohamed Salah levelled for Liverpool before the break.

It was the 16th goal Arsenal have conceded this season. No team has let in fewer than them.

After the game, Carragher said: “I have been really impressed with Arsenal. Right now, defensively, they are the best team in the Premier League.”
