Former Liverpool man, Jamie Carragher does not feel Chelsea have the best squad to challenge Manchester City for the title this season.
This is despite the Blues’ enormous transfer spending in the past year.
Chelsea have spent a total of £1billion on players under Todd Boehly.
They have spent around £320million this summer alone.
And yet Carragher still feels Chelsea are missing at least four top players, including a goalkeeper, a centre forward and a striker.
“If you ask me how many players they need to challenge Manchester City, I still think they need a new goalkeeper even though they’ve just signed Sanchez,” the former Liverpool defender told Sky Sports.
“I think they probably still need another top centre-half because Thiago Silva is 38.
“I don’t think there’s a real out-and-out goalscorer.
“It still feels like four players, four top players, would need to go into that team…”
