EPL: ‘Everyone fell on the ground’ – Thierry Henry reveals what he dislikes about Arsenal players

Former Arsenal attacker, Thierry Henry, has slammed the team’s mentality following their defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday.

The players could be seen collapsing in unison after conceding a last minute goal in the game.

Emi Buendia’s last minute strike meant that the Gunners succumbed to defeat after 18-game unbeaten and blew the title race open.

Manchester City then beat Sunderland to go just two points behind the title chasers.

Henry felt that by falling to the turf in frustration after the game, the likes of David Raya and Declan Rice overreacted and sent out the wrong message.

“What I didn’t like in that game was when they conceded the goal at the end everyone fell on the ground like you lost something,” Henry, who painted the Premier League with goals during his time at Arsenal, told CBS Sports.

“You lost a game, the same way that when you win the game it doesn’t mean you’re going to win everything.

“But we lost a game away at Villa and everyone fell down like we lost something bigger than what it was.

“It’s just a matter of when you have never won anything, it’s tough to cross that line. The fear of winning is sometimes bigger than the fear of losing.”
