Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres has appeared to have ruled out a possible January transfer move to Chelsea.

Reports earlier this week claimed that Chelsea had offered £73m for Gyokeres’ signature.

Gyokeres joined the Portuguese club from Coventry City last summer after scoring 21 goals for the Sky Blues in the Championship.

The 25-year-old has been impressive for Sporting this term, scoring 22 goals and providing 10 assists in 25 appearances.

However, when asked about Chelsea’s interest, Gyokeres insisted he is fully focused on Sporting adding that he is not thinking about his next move.

“I don’t think anything about it,” the Swedish star told Sport TV.

“I’m here and we have important games to play, I’m focused on that.

‘There’s a lot of talk on social media and elsewhere, but I am not focused on that. I don’t think about anything else. I’m here right now. I am 100% focused on this and the club.”
