Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has names Rodri as the best midfielder in the world at the moment.

Guardiola said Rodri can do everything, adding that it’s difficult to understand how Man City could have done what they have done in recent years without the 27-year-old.

This is coming after the Spain international scored a goal in Man City’s Premier League 1-1 draw against Chelsea over the weekend.

“All the highlights have to be for the guys up front who score goals and make assists and so on,” Guardiola said as quoted by Man City’s website.

“But Rodri always has the ability in important moments to score goals so he is an unbelievable player.

“He is the best midfield player in the world currently by far because he is able to do everything.

“What a signing. It is difficult to understand how we could have done what we have done in recent years without him.”

Rodri joined Man City from Atletico Madrid in 2019.
