Manchester United on Thursday confirmed that their winger Amad Diallo has sustained a knee injury and will miss the first part of their 2023/24 Premier League season.

That means Diallo will miss Man United’s Premier League opener against Wolves on August 14 at Old Trafford.

The Ivory Coast international sustained a knee injury during Man United’s tour of the United States.

Man United’s statement reads in part: “Manchester United winger Amad will miss the first part of the Premier League season.

“It is a blow to the youngster’s hopes of making his mark, after being involved in the earlier stages of our pre-season campaign.

“We would like to wish Amad a speedy return to action.”
