Ola Aina hopes Nottingham Forest can bounce back from the disappointment of last Sunday’s defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.

Steve Cooper’s side were handed a 3-0 defeat by their hosts, with Diogo Jota, Dominik Szobozslai scoring for the Reds.

Aina made his return to Forest’s starting line-up in the game after spending few weeks on the sidelines due to injury.

His compatriot, Taiwo Awoniyi, also made an appearance from the bench, making a quick return from a groin problem.

Despite the disappointment of returning home empty handed, the defender is keen to see his side return to winning ways again.

“It was a tough game, which we knew we were going to have coming to a place like Anfield against a good Liverpool team,” Aina told the club’s official website.

“We tried to stick to the game plan, but unfortunately, it didn’t go our way. We wanted to be compact and try and play forward when we get the ball and take care of it.

“After we conceded, they had the momentum and ran away with it really.
