Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp has insisted that Brighton’s penalty decision against Arsenal was correct.
Speaking after the game, Redknapp claimed that William Saliba got himself in trouble.

The Seagulls held Mikel Arteta’s men to a 1-1 draw in the Premier League on Saturday.

Ethan Nwaneri had given the Gunners the lead, but the hosts were handed the chance to equalise after referee Anthony Taylor felt Saliba headbutted Pedro inside the box. Pedro sent off David Raya the wrong way to ensure the match ended in a draw.

Redknapp said: “Saliba gets himself in a muddle. Then it’s just a reaction, to stick his head out to try and win the ball. It’s chaotic and it’s not what we would normally associate with Arsenal.
“Is it a penalty? Absolutely. You can see the contact.”
