Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag has confirmed that midfielder Casemiro will miss his side’s Premier League tie against Fulham this weekend.

Ten Hag spoke at his post-match press conference after Man United’s Carabao Cup defeat to Newcastle United on Wednesday.

Recall that Casemiro was given Man United’s captain armband in Bruno Fernandes’ absence but lasted 45 minutes before being withdrawn.

“He [Casemiro] was injured,” Ten Hag said.

“Just before half-time, he got an injury. That is why we had to take him off.”

When asked whether the Brazilian may be ruled out until the international break in mid-November, Ten Hag replied: “I can’t give an answer on that [now].

“We have to wait 24 hours, but I think definitely for Saturday, he is out.”
