Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has said the team has to win three matches in their run-in, to stand a chance of winning the Premier League title.

The Gunners go into Saturday’s fixture against Wolves two points behind leaders Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta’s men failed to go top last weekend after they suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa.

But Merson, speaking to Sky Sports, has said all hope is not lost for his former club.

He said: “There is a small glimmer of hope for Arsenal.

“They have three games in the next week or so against Wolves, Chelsea and Tottenham. If they win these three games they have every chance of finishing the season with the Premier League title.

“They are certainly capable of doing that, but it is now down to the players and how they react to these setbacks.”
