New Manchester United midfielder, Mason Mount, has given reasons why he left Chelsea for Old Trafford.

Mount was, on Wednesday, officially presented as a United player after both Premier League clubs agreed a £60 million deal.

The England international becomes Erik ten Hag’s first major signing this summer.

In an interview with United’s official website, Mount spoke about leaving his boyhood club to sign for their rivals.

“I’m very excited to work under Erik ten Hag.

“It’s never easy leaving the club where you grew up, but Man Utd will provide an exciting new challenge for the next phase of my career.

“I can’t wait to be part of this group’s drive to win major trophies,” Mount said.
