Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has warned his players that they will not be champions if they repeat their performance against Crystal Palace.

Eberechi Eze’s first-half goal proved to be the winner, as the Reds suffered defeat at Anfield for the first time since October 2022.

The loss came days after a 3-0 hammering in the hands of Atalanta in the Europa League quarter-final first leg.

Liverpool are now in third place in the Premier League, two points behind leaders Manchester City, with six fixtures left.

“I am not dumb. The answer is pretty easy: if we play like we did in the first half, how should we win the league?

“If we play it like in the second half, we can win football games. We have to be around when the other guys struggle – if they struggle,” Klopp told the media.
