Captain of the Portugal national team, Cristiano Ronaldo has predicted a very tough battle with France in their Euro 2024 quarter final.

Beating Slovenia in the round of 16 meant that Ronaldo and his teammates will battle Kylian Mbappe-led France in the next stage of the tournament.

They will tread tackles in the Euro 2024 quarter-finals at Volksparkstadion in Hamburg on Friday.

“We’re going to have a tough game now against France, which is one of the favorites to win,” Ronaldo said at his post match press conference on Monday.

“But we go to war, the team is fine and I will always do my best with this sweater. ”

Portugal claimed the 2016 European Championship trophy with Ronaldo leading as the captain.
