Germany head coach, Julian Nagelsmann has predicted that his team would go all out to win the 2026 World Cup.

The coach said it hurts him more the fact that Germany will have to wait two more years to become world champions.

He said this following Germany’s elimination from Euro 2024 in the hands of Spain.

Germany bowed out of the competition following a 2-1 defeat to Spain in the quarter-finals at the MHPArena in Stuttgart on Friday.

Spain went ahead in the 51st minute through Dani Olmo and Florian Wirtz netted the equalizer in the 89th minute for Germany to take the match into extra time.

Mikel Merino scored the winning goal in the 119th minute.

Nagelsmann said at the post match press conference that, “It also hurts that we now have to wait two years to become world champions.

“What can I say? That we want to be eliminated in the group stage? Of course, we want to become world champions.”

The young manager became Germany’s head coach in 2023 and has a contract valid until 2026.
