Europa League: Boniface nominated for Goal of Group Stage

Victor Boniface has been nominated for the UEFA Europa League Goal of the Group Stage.

Boniface, 22, was nominated for his superb strike in Bayer Leverkusen’s 5-1 victory against Qarabag.

West Ham United’s Lucas Paqueta, Olympic Marseille’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Magnus Wolff Elkrem, Thanjis Dallinga of Toulouse and Villarreal’s Santi Comesana are also nominated for the award.

The other nominees are, AEK Athens’ Djibril Sidibe, Rennes’ Lorenz Assignons and Rennes’ Ludovic Blas.

Boniface has scored four goals for Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League this season.

The striker finished as joint-top scorer with six goals in the competition last season.
