UEFA will pay Sevilla £7.6million for winning this year’s Europa League ahead of AS Roma.

The Europe top football governing body will also pay AS Roma £4.07million for losing the Europa League final to Sevilla, Goal reports.

Sevilla defeated Roma 4-1 on penalties to win the Europa League after the match ended 1-1 after 120 minutes on Wednesday night.

Goals from Gianluca Mancini (OG) and Paulo Dybala ensured both Roma and Sevilla drew at the Puskas Arena football stadium in Budapest, Hungary, before the penalty shoot-out.

Meanwhile, the winning side also automatically qualifies for the Champions League group stage, this guarantees them an additional £13.72 million ($17.17m).
