Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino known for his active role in the opposition, is yet again addressing the high cost of living.

In a series of posts shared on Sunday, the MP combined his commitment to advocating for reduced living costs and taxes with poignant religious messages.

Babu, who has consistently been at the forefront of demanding government action to alleviate the financial burdens faced by citizens, says that everything has risen in price and it is only salvation that is free

“Everything has gone up in price except salvation. It is still a free gift paid in full by Jesus,” he declared in one of his posts.

The message appears to juxtapose the rising costs of daily essentials.

One of his posts also included a quote from Exodus 1:12:

“But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and the more they grew.”

Furthermore, the MP shared Matthew 18:1-5, a passage emphasizing humility and purity of heart:

“He called a little child to him and placed the child among them. And he said: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.'”
