Former Soy Member of Parliament Caleb Kositany has officially taken over as the new Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) Board Chairperson, a week after President William Ruto appointed him.

The authority made the announcement on Thursday after bidding farewell to the outgoing chair Isaac Awuondo, who handed over to Kositany during a ceremony.

The occasion was held at the KAA headquarters in Nairobi.

“The outgoing KAA Board Chair, Mr Isaac Awuondo officially handed over the authority’s board chairmanship to Hon.  @ckositany in a brief ceremony held at the KAA HQ offices this morning,” read a statement by KAA.

The State agency further commended Mr Awuondo for his service over the years.

“We would like to express our gratitude to Mr Awuondo for his leadership and commitment to the growth of KAA; at the same time, we welcome Hon.  @ckositany as the new Chairman of the Board,” stated KAA.

President Ruto appointed Kositany to the position on a three-year contract in a Gazette notice dated March 17, 2023.
