TV screens across Kenya are about to get a lot brighter as the beloved actress and model Brenda Wairimu, graces our screens once again, this time in the captivating new telenovela, “Zari.”
The launch of “Zari” and another enthralling telenovela, “Ka-Siri,” brought together the stars of the small screen, and Brenda Wairimu, a mother of one, exclusively shared her thoughts with Nairobi News.
Having previously made her mark in various television programs, Brenda delved into the world of acting, shedding light on both its challenges and joys.
“Changing various roles is fun for me, and I quite enjoy transforming into different characters,” she revealed.
“I like the fact that I am able to tell people stories so they can escape through what I do for work. It is quite fulfilling.”
Brenda shared that she doesn’t follow an elaborate skincare routine despite her youthful appearance.
“It is God, and I think I have really changed when I look at myself. I see changes that I am not a little girl anymore, and I am a woman now, but I mind my business, and that helps,” she added.
“People say I have remained young, but to be honest, I see growth, and I don’t mind the fact that I am a woman now. It is a privilege to get old. I do a simple skincare routine; I cleanse my face at night, moisturize, and in the morning, don’t forget your sunscreen.”

Reflecting on her acting journey, Brenda expressed her growth and increased confidence.
“Right now, I am a bit more confident than when I started. I don’t know everything, but I do know that I know more than I did before.”
She also hinted at an upcoming short film shot in South Africa, sharing that it reflects her life and experiences.
However, Brenda’s most cherished role is that of a mother.
She emphasized that motherhood is both rewarding and challenging.
“I am always just finding a balance between work and taking care of my baby. I hope I am doing my best by being the best parent to my daughter. It is my first job.”
