The family of late acclaimed TV and radio personality Mary Njambi aka Jahmby Koikai is appealing to well-wishers to help pay her hospital bills and organise her funeral.

Jahmby, known for her vibrant on-screen presence and love for reggae music, tragically passed away on Monday while receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital.

Her sudden death has left her family struggling with emotional and financial challenges.

She had been battling endometriosis for many years.

Senator Gloria Orwoba has taken to social media to rally support from the public, urging Kenyans to lend a helping hand at this difficult time.

“Njambi has rested. As we all come to terms with this, the family needs all our support,” said Senator Orwoba.

In her heartfelt appeal, Senator Orwoba stressed that any contribution, no matter the size, would be invaluable to Njambi’s family.

She provided details of how individuals could contribute and urged them to send their donations to Barbara, providing her contact details.

“As the family prepares to say goodbye, let’s give our Endo warrior a memorable send-off,” Senator Orwoba added.

Despite contacting Jahmby’s family for further details, Nairobi News was told that due to the overwhelming situation, the family is unable to provide any additional information at this time.

However, they urged Jahmby’s fans and well-wishers to send their contributions to the contact number provided.

“If you want to make a donation, you can do so on the M-Pesa number provided,” Barbara told Nairobi News.

In the wake of her untimely passing, Kenyans are still sending condolences to Jahmby’s family and close friends.

DJ Double Trouble of Ghetto Radio shared the last moments of Jahmby’s hospital stay before she succumbed to her illness.

According to Trouble, Jahmby was urgently admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Monday, June 3, as her condition deteriorated.

Unfortunately, despite her best efforts, she lost her battle with endometriosis.

“She was in the HDU but now she is in the ICU. The blood donation was a success, people came through, but the problem was that she was in critical condition. Now we are praying that she will get better,” DJ Double Trouble revealed.

DJ Double Trouble also revealed that Jahmby had to be put on life support as her health deteriorated.

Jahmby had been bravely battling stage IV endometriosis for over two decades.

The disease caused her great suffering, including 12 lung collapses and damage to critical organs such as her lungs, bowel and diaphragm, leading to numerous painful surgeries.

May her soul rest in peace.
